CBS Consumer Products is becoming a major headliner in the licensing world with a broad range of initiatives planned.

Its two-year-old CBS Films theatrical division is currently developing over 25 projects across all genres; four to six films are due each year.

Four films are due for 2010 including "Beastly" starring Vanessa Hudgens ("High School Musical") with apparel and accessories, social expressions and gaming eyed for consumer product treatment. "Consent to Kill," based on the book series by Vince Flynn, is due summer 2011 with opportunities in gaming applications.

Additional projects include, “The Untitled Crowley Project,” an inspirational drama starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser; the romantic comedy “The Back-Up Plan,” starring Jennifer Lopez and Alex O’Loughlin; the Susannah Grant-penned romantic drama “I’ll Be There,” a remake of the Korean film “A Moment To Remember”; the romantic thriller “The Eternals”; “The Station,” a thriller set against the International Space Station and based on a Boom! Studios comic book series; and an action-adventure feature adaptation of “Gunsmoke.”

In other news, the company will strut popular series "America's Top Model" in the retail aisle with an enhanced product push signing new deals with Modern Publishing for a line of tween-targeted activity books; Rizzoli for

"America’s Next Top Model Fierce Guide To Life;" Scholastic Books for a series of  young adult fiction novels; and Penguin Young Readers Group’s introduction of a themed MadLibs. Gamaka Games will also create the first board game that combines fierce challenges with trivia questions about the past Top Model seasons, as well as the modeling and fashion worlds.
