Spider-Man reaches the Finish Line

Kids walking into Finish Line stores can walk out with Spider-Man
as Marvel Entertainment, LLC adds the web-slinger to its line of
sneakers in an expanded deal with Reebok.
The line initially launched with a collection of Iron Man and The
Incredible Hulk sneakers in spring 2008 and was followed by a
collection of Spider-Man sneakers at Finish Line in 2009. Building
on that success, the new line of co-branded sneakers will be on
shelves at Finish Line stores this spring.
“Building upon our incredibly successful relationship with Reebok,
we are excited to launch a great new line of children’s sneakers
featuring one of the world’s most renowned Super Heroes,” said Paul
Gitter, president of consumer products for North America, Marvel
Entertainment. “The co-branded partnership with Reebok and
retail support at Finish Line enables Marvel to further maximize
the exposure of the brand and expand our presence in key
distribution channels. Based on the consumer reaction to our
previous collections with Reebok, we are sure the new Spider-Man
sneakers will be a hit with kids and parents alike.”
Reebok and Finish Line are supporting the Marvel introduction with
in-store signage and graphics.
